I saw Brooks Men's Trance 7 running shoe on sales for about 40 bucks compare to full price of 100, are they better running shoe than Nike, Adidas, or New Balance?yes. they are very nice for running. i used them in xcountry.I think that Brooks is a great brand to work with, especially for x-c. I also prefer the brand, Asics. Brooks is a good reliable shoe, but don't get hung up just because you found a good deal or bargain! Asics, Mizuno and Saucony make some excellent shoes as well.
