What is the symbolic meaning? Is there one?

  • I seem to be attracting animals lately. Im not particularly an animal person.

Week 1...I found a staff puppy alone on a lead.
Week 2...A big black cat was sat on the grass out front. I was startled and it felt eerie. The cat was just looking straight up at me (but unusually didnt climb the ledge) i looked back 3 times and the last time it was gone.
Week 3...A black lost dog followed me home from the school run.

  • If there is any symbolic meaning in your chance encounters with animals lately, I would say that it is whatever meaning you attach to it. It's 2 lost dogs and a cat. That you felt eerie about the cat was probably due to that the cat was black, and any cultural conditioning you got about black cats when you were growing up, that's just superstition. Cats have a way of going out and sitting wherever they feel like, if he was just sitting on the grass out front, it doesn't sound like he was there for any purpose specifically to do with you, and that you found a lost puppy doesn't really sound like any particular reason either, except that the powers that be placed the puppy in your path so you could help him get home, the leash indicated he belongs to someone, and had gotten away somehow. The other dog may have been a stray.
Symbolic meanings aside, there are a lot more abandoned animals in neighborhoods in general these days, due to the financial crisis, a lot of people who have been foreclosed on also can't take care of their animals anymore, and just abandon them instead of taking them to a shelter if they can't find a home for them, which is really sad, it's the least they could do to make an effort to get their pet adopted elsewhere. Cats aren't generally on leashes, they tend to just roam a neighborhood at will, so it's not always easy to tell if a cat is abandoned or not. Dogs on the other hand are supposed to be on leashes, if you see one out he is either a stray, or has gotten out of the yard. If you see stray dogs running around, you should call your local sheriff, who can put you in touch with animal control officers, and you can report the sighting, or stay with the dog if he seems ok and turn him in, somebody will come out to get it, and either track down the owner, or take it to a shelter if it doesn't have a collar.

  • Is this reality or dreams?

Maybe its all just a coincidence?
