Well it's finally got to a state where Japanese text support is, if a long way from finished, not likely to send most people running in horror. Specifically (after some setup stuff) you can use kana and kanji in general chatting, setting descriptions and such.
So I'd like to encourage you lot to have a look. (not that I really expect to get any 'bites' but you never know) Basically you should think of it as
a somewhat eccentric chatroom which allows Japanese text.
Now, to the set-up. Things you will need.
1. A recent version of mozilla. ( www.mozilla.org )
2. MOOzilla ( www.moo.ca/moozilla )
3. A file from me** to patch MOOzilla with.
4. Instructions from me on how to patch MOOzilla (It's pretty easy, really)
5. The address of MOOsaico ( moosaico.moo.mud.org 7777 )
6. To set MOOzilla -> Edit -> Preferences -> HTML mode to 'Raw source code'
7. After entering MOOsaico (e.g. @connect guest ) you need to
8. Set @misc-options +isolatin1
9. @language nihongo (To see Japanese descriptions)
* generally I've been working /other people/
** If you're interested post in the thread or PM me.
I sent you a PM.
