How do i reduce a popped pimples' redness ? help :]?

  • well hi ummm... i did the dumbest thing i could do i popped my 6 pimples :( and now they are all red. What can i do to reduce the redness by monday if possible please help

  • There's two things you could try. One is my boyfriend & I use something from Neutrogena called "On The Spot". It's meant specifically to be used on those annoying pimples!! I had a red one once & I used the on the spot & reduced the redness.

The second is a home remedy I used when I was in high school, & that was dabbing just a little of my crest toothpaste on the pimple. I would tab just a bit of the paste (not gel) kind on right before I went to bed, & the redness would be gone in the morning (or at least reduced). But just a bit, if you use too much you can burn the skin.

  • Try neosporin cuz when I have been dumb enough to pop my pimples neosporin always helped. Oh and in the future... don't pop them it could leave a scar!!!

  • dont bother popping when u could play a nice connect the dots! lol.
You could always go for powder make-up, moisturizers, and toothpaste. but the best to leave them, people understand stuff like that usually! Just dont touch them or they might start to bleed and turn into blister-looking-scars.. trust me, i learned that the HARD way! keep away from anything greasy!

  • go get benzol peroxide. @ the drugstore-Oxy works great.

  • wash your face and put toothpaste on the pimples... it'll dry them out and make them go away faster.

  • dont pop them...

    use pro activ....

    haha

  • ok.....im not sure what to do but DO NOT put toothpaste on the ALREADY POPPED AND IRRITATED pimple!

the only time ive herad of putting toothpaste on a pimple is when it has just formed and is all pus filled and crap, cause it dries out the pimple.

bottom line: you do not wana make an allready irritated skin area more irrtated. i would honestly say just leave it alone and the redness will deff be gone by monday.

  • well, there's this new product from Clean&Clear, it's called "Advantage", and it reduces pimple redness in 4 hours.

    cool, huh?

  • from my experience wash your face with dove or a basic soap as much as you can but mostly in the morning and before you go to bed but use a stringent which has an alcohol base to it which shrinks the pours and helps with the redness. If your parents have insurance for a dermatologist go to them for medication like Neobenz Micro which is a peroxide Cream which removes the bacteria from the pours than use (differin) which is a (adapalene gel) which shrinks the pours and reduces the redness. I hope I helped you as much as I could and with the two medication names you can look both of them up on the net for more info. Good Luck!

  • Clear eyes will reduce the redness temporarily. It works on your eyes by shrinking the blood vessels making your eyes look less red, and it does the same on your skin. It just doesn't last that long. Maybe by monday, though, your pimples won't look so red.

  • I am one of the lucky few that almost never gets zits, but when I do get them, there's a couple things that work for me.

    1. Freeze spoons in the freezer a couple hours and put the on the pimples when they're cold enough. [works great for bags under the eyes too ;) ]

    or

    2. Put a green tea bag in hot water (like boiling) and then set the tea bag on you skin. The green tea sooths the irritation.

    If all else fails, make-up.

  • the redness should go away after a night,
if its still there monday, visine will remove the redness

you may have poped blood vessels

  • By monday the redness will be gone. Clean the popped pimple site, with warm soapy water then apply some neosporen to the area.

    Good Luck!!
